Hannah's grandparents were Daniel Wing and Hannah Swift,
Benjamin Swift's grandparents were William Swift and Ruth
Dillingham. Hannah Swift and William Swift were brother
and sister, children of William Swift and Joan Sisson.
In order to make this website as accurate as is
possible, and in the interest of reliable information, I
have to insure that I include all sources possible
regarding the question of descent. There are
two very different opinions concerning Elizabeth
Thompson, the daughter of John Thompson and Mary Cooke,
and whether she married William Swift or Thomas Swift. If
the facts prove that Elizabeth Thompson married William
Swift, their descendants can claim membership in the
Mayflower Society. Elizabeth Thompson was the
granddaughter of Francis Cooke who arrived in the New
World on the Mayflower.
