Joining The 76th
The 76th strives to be a progressive unit that takes authenticity and attention to detail seriously. Examples would be using period correct cloth for ones individual clothing, correct fit of ones uniform, mandatory shaving, and within reason, the best weapons and equipment possible. Reenacting isn't cheap. One can expect to invest as much as $1500, or more, before ones kit is complete. Don't feel alone though, as we've all been down that road. That's why we have loaner gear to help you through events, patterns, and member help to get your kit up to snuff. Please don't buy anything until you've spoken to someone in the unit. If you've already got equipment, speak to one of us to make sure it's proper for our unit impression. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Our goals are to have fun while we pay homage to those men in the 76th that fought and died under that banner so many years ago.

Do you make oath that you are no apprentice, nor belong to any regiment of militia, nor to any other regiment of his Majesty's Service, have no rupture, nor ever troubled by fits, that you are in no way disabled by lameness or otherwise, but have the perfect use of your limbs, and that you voluntarily inlist yourself to serve his Majesty King George as a private soldier?
