"We cannot be passive or silent when human beings endure suffering or humiliation. We must step forward and take sides. We must assist immediately.  At times, we may fail. At times, we may make mistakes. But we must never make the mistake of failing to try. People deserve nothing less."
Spokesman, Tradition Council Member Angel L.G. Santos

"For any nation to exist there must be certain elements that must be perpetuated. The element of language, culture, land, and the spirituality of a people. This is a collective consciousness of a people. This can never be realized through the study of any written literature. This can only be found within the souls and the spirit of the people. The collective consciousness must be conveyed to the next generation in order for that nation to exist. Any act to abort the conveyance of such collective consciousness of a people is tantamount to genocide. Therefore, Chamorus have the obligation to protect, promote, and defend our rights to exist.
