About our center:
Our center serves the community as a daycare facility and also provides a setting for high school and college students in work study and community service programs. Our main objective is to provide a positive atmosphere which will promote the social, physical, intellectual, and emotional growth of children. Learning experiences appropriate for the developmental age of each group are provided daily.
Children need to feel good about themselves! Positive guidance techniques are used by our staff to enhance a childs feeling of self worth. The daily schedule includes, large and small group interaction which helps the children learn to cooperate, listen and share. Self selected activities are encouraged to stimulate cognitive growth and creativity as well as emotional and social development.
We offer full time daycare for children two months to five years of age and a school age program for children, kindergarten to 4th grade. A daily report is filled out for toddler children and preschool children by the teachers and given to the parent to show what the activities their children enjoyed, how well they ate and rested, their behavior and other information as well.Calenders are sent home once a month advising parents of upcoming events, birthdays, themes for the month, and other announcements. We plan parent conferences twice a year, along with assessments on each childs development.
Activities include
Some of the various daily activities include, creative art, outdoor play, number and counting recognition, story time, and many more. Other activities include karate, dance, plays, cooking, filed trips and nature walks.
