Welcome to my online gallery.
My name is Malea Rhodes and I make functional pottery for every day, practical use in the home. All of my work is food, microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe. I pay special attention to the surface treatment of my work and frequently add texture, by carving, or using a technique called slip trailing, in which I load slip (mud) into a squirt type bottle and apply raised designs such as swirls, leaves, and cross-hatch marks, to the work. It results in a truely one of a kind piece of art work, ready for you to use every day.

All my work is custom made to order, and delivery should be expected between 4 to 6 weeks. Sorry for the length of time, but the process is long and I am quite the perfectionist, so I make more, and select the best! If you are interested in showing my work in your gallery, or adding my work to your private collection, please contact me at any time. I work on consignment or wholesale.
