Black Dogs Second Chance

These dogs are not Flat Coated Retrievers. They are nice black dogs that need a second chance. We are only allowed to rescue pure bred or what is thought to be a pure bred FCR. In an effort to help place some of the many nice dogs that would otherwise be euthanized I have decided to post some of these wannabees on my personal web page. A DOG SITS WAITING
A Dog sits waiting in the cold autumn sun,
too faithful to leave, too frightened to run,
He's been here for days with nothing to do
But sit by the road, waiting for you.
He can't understand why you left him that day
He thought you and he were stopping to play.
He's sure you'll come back and that's why he stays
How long will he suffer? How many more days?
His legs have grown weak, his throat's parched and dry
He's sick now from hunger and falls with a sigh
He lays down his head and closes his eyes
I wish you could see how a waiting dog dies.

"Ok! I'm ready!", says Lacy. Lacy wants to let everyone know that she is ready to go to her new home - now! Very friendly and sweet, this little Lab mix girl is just as cute as they come, with lots of fun and play, laughs and love to share. Please come by and meet Lacy soon. Time is short and her time is running out.

Hello everyone, this is “Sheila”, an owner surrender & has been @ the shelter since July 1st. She’s a really sweet dog that’s very friendly & full of life. I need to get her out of the shelter because we are limited on space. I need to have her moved by Wednesday 8/20 at 5pm. She is spayed, HW negative, had her rabies vaccine, dhlpp, and bordetella.
