Marcus Smith's Biography
 

Marcus Smith is a resident of North Truro, MA and has worked in Provincetown, MA as a portrait artist since 1965.  He was the principal portrait artist at the New York Exposition in 1964 and won 2nd prize in the Afro American festival in 1970.  Mr. Smith's art is in many private and corporate collections and he has exhibited in numerous galleries and museums, including: Mona Freeman Gallery, Los Angles Winstanley-Roark Fine Art, Brewster, Ma - Invitational Show Crespi Gallery, New York - One Person Show  Napi's Gallery - Provincetown, MA - One Person Show  Chrysler Museum, Provincetown, MA Mr. Smiths studied at the Art Center , Los Angeles, the Art Students League in NY and at the Cape Cod School of Art, Provincetown, MA. Mr. Smith states that his " primary focus, for the last two years, has been landscapes and abstractions as well as his numerous portrait commissions."
