Basic Facts

Born in Plymouth, Mass on July 25, 1950. Currently live with my wife, Debby, in our own home in South Dennis (Cape Cod) Mass. Work for a state agency in Boston. Have spent most of my life in Massachusetts but have also lived in the following places: Fort Lauderdale, Florida.....Warner Robins, Georgia.....Yuba City, California. Have driven across the USA a few times. Most exciting event while on the road: winning $1000 on a slot machine in Elko, Nevada on August 18, 1990!

My Hobbies & Interests

Primary hobby is medium wave radio DX. That means I get a major thrill out of picking up distant AM radio signals. I've been doing this since age 12 and have heard AM radio stations from 94 different countries, 45 US states, and 10 Canadian provinces. It's alot of fun for me and Cape Cod is one of the best locations in the US for this hobby because of its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. Another hobby is photography - I especially enjoy taking pictures of natural scenes like forests, mountains, and ocean sunsets.

My Online Life

I use the Internet as a newspaper, magazine, and encyclopedia. I read the current news, sports, and weather, etc. Sometimes a question "pops" into my head and I simply type a keyword into Google - voila! - all the information I need! I subscribe to message boards run by various radio clubs and keep up with everything that is happening in the radio hobby. Sometimes, i just surf at random. I love the web!
