Well, here's my project for the next couple of weeks. I had a nice knocking noise
coming from the engine, so I decided to rip it out. The plans are:
Mopar Performance Cam
Mopar Performance Lifters
Mopar Performance Springs
Bore Block .030 Over
TRW Forged Pistons - .030 Over - 8.5:1
Mopar Performance Big Valve R/T Heads - Ported and Polished
2.02 Intake Valves
ARP Heads Studs
Mopar Performance Torque Convertor
Manley Forged Rods
All New Mogul Bearings
Mopar Performance Cast Crankshaft
Entire Bottom End Balanced And Blueprinted
Also, the entire engine is going to be painted Chrsler red. Which is the color that they
used in the late 60's and early 70's on most of the high-performance 318's and 340's.
These are some pictures of about how far I've gotten. It'll be updated as I get a little
farther on it. As you can see, the bearings aren't looking too good. And all with
21,000 miles. I guess that's probably what a supercharger will do. That and the fact
that I drove around for probably about a month with coolant in the oil.
