What Can YOU Do? Plenty!! Getting personally involved in protecting your rights and the rights of your children and grandchildren is a rewarding experience. It is what Democracy is all about. Contact your legislators and tell them how you feel. Investigate personal freedom issues and educate yourself regarding controversial health freedom issues. Research laws as well as rules and regulations at your local library - it's enlightening. Share what you learn and your activities with your family and friends. Encourage their support. Join local grass roots organizations like the Missouri Citizens Coalition for Freedom in Health Care and attend events sponsored by them. You'll gain valuable information and support from these groups. Subscribe to the MCC-FHC E-Mail List - a free and easy way to keep up to date on issues the Coalition is involved in. Volunteer to be an MCC-FHC District Coordinator. Your interests and abilities are valuable to everyone. Or, if you are a physician, volunteer your husband, wife, daughter, son, secretary, or a dedicated patient. Pick someone you know will take it and run! It's the wisest thing you can do for your practice. We need alternatives to drugs, surgeries and medicines - don't let legislation take them away from us! Attend local events sponsored by the Missouri Department of Health to get an inside view of how they view the issues. Visit the DOH (Dept. of Health) website. Lobby by going to Jefferson City when called upon to support legislation or to fight unjust legislation. Your representative and senator are impressed when they see you! Respond to health articles in magazines and newspapers - write your own! Try not to appear too radical. Our ideas alone are enough for some people. Do be sincere and honest. Support activities and organizations on a local/state/federal and worldwide level - they all domino into each other. Take some time now and then to look out the window and be wondrously grateful for the sun, birds, trees, rain, snow, plants and animals. Look into the eyes of each family member and touch their souls. These are the things that keep us going. Most of all: Click here to Email this Page to a Friend!
