My Ancestors

John Edward Dunn,Sr., known as "Jim" to some and "Ed" to others, born 1827 in Dundalk, Ireland. Son of John Patrick and Mary Dunn. Naturalized in 1844 in New York. The 1870 censes of Hyde County, NC show that John Sr. was a farmer and was 40yrs old. Other members in his household at this time were, wife, Matilda Jane Morris.,c 1840 and William Morris,c 1800. Matilda Jane was the daughter of William and Sarah Morris.
