The Cell Games:
The Cell Games didn't start off too well. The fighters in the tournament were Goku (he finally healed from his virus), Hercule, Future Trunks, Vegeta, Gohan, and Android 16 (he said that he wouldn't kill Goku but rather help him in defeating him). One of the first fighters was the famous Hercule. Once Hercule saw Cell using energy attacks, he merely said that Cell was only using some mirror trick to try and fool Hercule. Hercule then took all of his might and threw a punch at Cell. Cell didn't budge. Next up was Goku (I'm not 100% sure on the orders). He and Cell actually managed to land some punches at each other and once Goku reached his fighting limits, he turned Super Saiyan and fought. Things were about to change.
Let's take a step back; now since Kami rejoined bodies with Piccolo, the world was left without a Guardian of the Earth. Nail (in Piccolo's body) suggested that they could get Dende to be Guardian. Now since this was before the Games started, Goku went to the new planet Namek and fetched Dende. Dende then changed the form of the dragon balls so they could grant two wishes.
Back to the main story: As a Super Saiyan, Goku reached his limits and decided to call it quits. He then told Gohan to go and fight. As a Super Saiyan, Gohan landed one really hard punch at Cell's stomach causing him to spit up Android 18 and also causing him to go back to his second form. This really enraged Cell so he was gonna use his self destruction bomb to blow up the planet. Goku stopped this and said goodbye to everyone and that he would see everyone someday. Goku used his instant transmission to transfer Cell and himself to King Kai's planet. Everyone was dead in a matter of seconds (King Kai, Goku, Gregory, and Bubbles). King Kai was mad at Goku but Goku noticed that if Cell was dead he should at least be able to sense his energy.
The nightmare never ended. Cell came back to Earth as his "perfect form" and then launched an attack at Trunks because he was mad at him for giving the other fighters Senzu beans. He then explained that he came back through instant transmission which he gained from Goku's death. He also said that he has a lump in his head that would always regenerate no matter how bad the damage. Eventually he produces seven Cell Juniors to attack Gohan and the Z fighters. Android 16 then creeps up on Cell and says he's gonna self destruct. Cell was so worried he nearly died. A-16 tried to detonate but he couldn't. Dr. Briefs (Bulma's dad) took out the bomb because he was worried that he might use it on Goku. Then Cell kills A-16. A-16 says a few words to Gohan just with his head and then dies. This enrages Gohan so much that he turns Super Saiyan 2 (he turned Super Saiyan 1 during training with his dad in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber). He then kills the Cell Juniors and begins his fight with Cell (yet again). His main attack was a Kamehamea wave at Cell. Cell counter attacked causing a big energy hold between them. Through spirits, Goku told Gohan to give it more and to concentrate. He then helped Gohan push the wave more. Eventually Cell could no longer hold and he was blown to dust (including his lump).
Meanwhile, Dende healed Trunks and Trunks went back to his timeline and destroyed the Androids there and the Imperfect Cell there too. Things would finally stay peaceful for seven years in the present.
The Other World Tournament:
Since King Kai had no planet now, he and Goku decided that they should fly off to the other quadrants and visit them. Goku then learned that King Kai was only one of four Kais. He was North Kai. The other were East Kai (the only female), South Kai (very arrogant), and West Kai (the shortest and a big snob). There would also be a tournament for the dead people (hosted by Grand Kai, winner gets to train under Grand Kai). A couple battles occur and the last one was between North Kai's Goku and West Kai's Pikkon (resembles a Namekian sort of). West Kai made a bet with North Kai. He said that if Pikkon wins, Northy (for short) would have to be Westy's servant. If Goku won, Westy would have to share his planet with Northy. In the end, Goku won due to figuring out a weak spot in Pikkon's attack that Goku couldn't beat at first. North Kai made fun of Westy for this and they eventually shared planets. Meanwhile, seven years have passed and Gohan is well into high school.
The Saiyaman Saga:
This is a very boring and rather stupid saga in my opinion. Gohan sees trouble in his city and secretly protects it as the Great Saiyaman. Goten is introduced who is Gohan's little brother and Videl is introduced who is his high school peer with whom he teaches to fly. Videl eventually helps him as the Great Saiyaman 2.
The Buu Ressurection Saga:
The beginning of this saga starts off with the World Tournament. Many fights go on but then there's a fight between Gohan and a guy with an "M" on his head named Yamu. He takes a large needle and sucks energy out of him along with his large partner Spopovich. Then they fly off and leave. Introduced a couple episodes back were Kibito and Supreme Kai. They came to the Tournament because they new about this ordeal with Gohan would be coming. (Supreme Kai is the leader of all Kais and Kibito is his assistant). They told the other Z fighters that this would be coming but they said it had to happen and not to interfere. Kibito then healed Gohan giving back his energy.
Just to let you know, Goku was allowed by King Yemma to come back on Earth for a day.
Back to they story, well after Gohan gets his energy absorbed, Supreme Kai, Kibito, Vegeta, Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, and Krillin go and follow the two villains. When arriving there, the gang sees a little wizard named Babidi and his henchman Dabura come and kill them. Then Dabura sees Piccolo, Krillin, and Kibito. Dabura blasts Kibito and spits and Piccolo and Krillin, turning them to stone.
Then Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan go into Babidi's ship and fight at different levels of the ship to reach Majin Buu and try to destroy it. Vegeta gets under control of Babidi and goes back to the tournament and kills people. The last battle is between Gohan and Dabura and they stop until Babidi gets enough energy and ressurects Majin Buu.
Majin Buu comes out as a stupid, playful person. Dabura makes him mad so Majin Buu turns Dabura into a cookie and eats Dabura. Then a lot of havoc occurs. Majin Buu and Babidi goes around the cities and start killing people (usually they're turned to candy or food first if you know what I mean).
Meanwhile, back at the lookout, Goku and Piccolo (he and Krillin return to normal after Dabura's demise) teach Goten and Trunks the Fusion Dance. He explains that it last 30 minutes and that you have to do every move exactly right and on time in order for it to work correctly.
While Trunks tries to find the dragon radar, Goku goes and buys some time by finding Buu and Babidi and fights them. Having a little fun, Goku show them Super Saiyan 1, S.S. 2, and then S.S. 3. Super Saiyan 3 is a form in which your hair becomes very long and you lose your eyelashes. Goku then fights a little until he senses that Trunks got the radar. He then salutes them a farewell. He then tells Buu before leaving that a strong person like him shouldn't take orders from a puny Babidi. After Goku leaves, Buu takes Babidi in his hand and kills him.
Back at the lookout Goku arrives and learns his time on Earth is up. Baba, Roshi's sister, takes Goku back to the other world. Goku says bye to everybody and departs. (I forgot to mention that Vegeta tried killing Buu by blowing himself up but it didn't exactly work. Also, Gohan has been training with Kibito and Supreme Kai. He treis to take out the Z Sword from the top of a cliff and succeeds. After breaking it, he unleashes an old Kai known as Old Kai.
Meanwhile, Buu turns some people into clay and makes a house out of it in a rural region. Trying to kill him, Hercule talks to Buu and tries different ways of killing him. None of them work. He then tells Buu just to lie on the floor (making him look dead) so that he could get a picture (to get more fame). But after living in Buu's hut for a while, Hercule grows an unlikely friendship with Buu. Buu then goes out and finds a badly hurt puppy. He heals it and calls it Bee. Buu agrees to kill no more. Hercule then rips up the photo of arrogance. A little later, a couple of thugs blow some shots and Buu's house and shoot Bee. This really enrages Buu. Buu heals Bee, and then Hercule tries to talk to him, but Buu merely knocks him out, steam coming out of his head. He and Hercule deal with the thugs, but before you know it, a brownish, evil-looking creature comes out from Buu (the formation from the steam). The big rivalry then begins.
