You found favor in God's eyes.

Did you know what following God would be like in a wicked world?

Abraham, did you know your faith pleased God?
Through you the world was blessed.

Sarah, did you know you would have to wait so long for a son?
You became an ancestor to God's Son Jesus Christ.

You were God's chosen people,
Forefathers and mothers of mankind.

Did you know what being the mother to God's Son would entail?
Did you know by giving birth to Jesus you would also have to see Him die?

Little Bird
Oh, Little Bird sitting on the power line
so high above the ground.
I wonder what you think as you are looking
around at your surroundings.
Do you know how precious you are in my eyes?
Do you know there is Someone greater than the
both of us - who is our Heavenly Father?
Yes, Little Bird we are related. We share the same
Creator. Can you grasp this? It is truly awe-inspiring.
I praise our Lord for giving me the pleasure
of being able to watch you silently while you look around,
cleaning your wings, unaware of my presence.
Do you thank Him for being able to watch me?
Do you wonder what I am thinking as you watch me, too?
Come, let us worship together, Little Bird.
Your chirps are music in my ear
and my thoughts are the lyrics.
Together, we are united for one brief moment in time.
Thank You, O Lord, for this humbling moment in each of our worlds.

Spring
How lush and green Your valleys are!
Sprinkled with flowers of yellow, purple and pink,
The Dogwood trees in full bloom, reminding me of Jesus on the Cross.
The fragrance of Spring is in the air!
Standing silently in Your wonderful garden,
Appreciating Your marvelous works, Lord.
Mesmorized by the butterflys in their splendid glory,
Amazed at how bountiful Your love is to mankind.
Everything in full bloom, everything so new,
Spring is in the air, Lord!
I am reminded of Your gift of life,
What a blessed gift that is!
Wondering how nature knows when the seasons change,
No rhyme, no reason - Simple, yet complicated.
No scientific method or hypothesis to study,
Spring is the time for rebirth.
Spellbound, all I can do is stand in awe of You, Lord,
In awe of Your creations.
Knowing You gave me this moment of love,
All I can do is praise You, Lord.

How ungrateful I must seem at times!

How can I ever repay You?
With my soul, my heart, my mind, my life, my all.
Keep talking to me, LORD.
You are my Father, I am Your child.
How stubborn and hardheaded I am!
But, LORD, You patiently wait for me,
Speaking to me at the most opportune time.

To live back in the days of old...people having to sacrifice animals for their sins. Thank You, God, for sending Christ Jesus, Your Son. He is the ultimate sacrifice for my sins. Now, no animals have to die. Thank You, God, thank You.
I can't imagine the horror the animal must have felt (if animals can feel) as it was about to be slaughtered. I sympathize with the animal about to die and I grieve for it. To die for a people who never gave the animal a second thought - people so unworthy...so ungrateful. Thank You, God, for sending Christ Jesus, Your Son - the ultimate sacrifice for sins. Thank You, God, thank You.
O, dear animal, you are truly blessed. God chose you as a sacrifice for people in the days of old. Are you up in Heaven, playing in God's Kingdom? Are you happily grazing with the rest of God's flock? Was it worth it to die for mankind? Thank You, God, for sending Christ Jesus, Your Son - the ultimate sacrifice for sins. Thank You, God, thank You.
