I love all the messages and comments about the site, and read all e-mail. However, due to the massive amount of e-mail I have been receiving recently, I am unable to respond to all of it and keep up with my teaching load and family life. Did you design your webpage through AOL? No, I
purchased Adobe
PageMill.

How can I set up my own webpage through AOL? I have no idea. :) I used Adobe Pagemill, so I don't have any experience with this. Here's a link to a very informative tutorial by Karen Lawson on How to create a webpage in AOL
How did you add the animations and music to your webpage? Sorry, I can't help you with this unless you use Adobe Pagemill. Here's some resources on AOL that explain how to add sound. Look on the right-hand side of the page for links. HomePage Basics: Sounds I used Adobe Pagemill. It is a what you see is what you get type of program. You just add graphics and type in the text without having to know complicated HTML. Unfortunately, I discovered that it is no longer available. :( My school librarian has been using Claris HomePage and she really likes it. I played around with that for a while and it looks easy too.
Are there any monthly costs or initial costs involved? Just the cost of purchasing PageMill. You can do it for free with AOL's Easy Designer. I've never used this but you might want to check it out. My FTP Space. (Keyword: My FTP space) If you add your webpage to AOL's Hometown, it's free.
Is it easily maintainable? (In other words, is it a headache to add new info?) Initially it takes time to set up the site, especially if you "jazz it up" with graphics, etc. With PageMill, once the site is set up, it can be easily updated on your hard drive and then uploaded.
