Within just a few short years Hypnotist Monica Piechowski has worked to become one of North America’s premier female hypnotic entertainers. She travels across the country performing for corporate, school and organizational events. As a stage hypnotist, Monica has performed for numerous organizations including the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, Wisconsin FFA Convention, John Deere Dealerships, and the DARE program (Drug Awareness Resistance Education). As a Hypnotherapist, Monica has been invited to speak four times at the National Guild of Hypnotists Convention, the largest international gathering of hypnotists and hypnotherapists worldwide. She is also contributed to the book Through The Open Door: Secrets of Self-Hypnosis published by Pelican in August 2000.
On stage, Monica’s show involves the just right amount of humor and innuendo while informing her audience of the power of the mind. She also caters each show to the audience she is performing for and no two shows are identical. The audience is the star of the show and Monica rarely accepts the final round of applause. In her own words Monica states that the volunteers are the real stars of the show and that she is there to help them bring out the magic which lies within them.
Her background and education includes a degree in Psychology and Marketing Communications from the University of Wisconsin with a minor in Clinical and Demonstrational Hypnotism. She has also completed basic, advanced, master, and clinical hypnotherapist training with the Minnesota Institute of Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy. Shortly after her basic certification she was invited to study privately with Dr. Jim Wand in the art of stage hypnosis. Since that time she has been performing independently for company parties, post proms, and drug awareness programs. Monica has also completed NLP Trainer's Training with the National Federation of Neuro Lingustic Psychology under the direction of Dr. Will Horton.
Coming from an eclectic range of experiences, Monica has received the American FFA Degree, was spokesperson for one of Wisconsin's Agricultural industries, anchored a small television news show, interviewed individuals ranging from the person on the street to U.S. Vice-Presidential candidates, and is actively involved in several organizations having held leadership positions at local and state levels. In the winter months she is a downhill ski instructor and uses her hypnotic abilities to assist students in learning how to ski in a minimal period of time or improve their skills quickly and easily. In the 2000-2001 edition of Ride & Glide Minnesota Monica was interviewed along with another instructor for Skiing 101. In 2002 she worked with USSA TEAM Afton, which included athletes competing in the Junior Olympics and other international events. These experiences help Monica to have a broad base of knowledge and experience for her work as a private consultant.
