Harmon Grayson and Laura Helen Jackson wed on 14 March 1937 and brought the GRAYSON and JACKSON families together. They moved to Meridian, Lauderdale County, MS shortly after they wed.
Harmon Isaac and his uncle S.A. Grayson opened the Grayson Market in Meridian, and took care of many families during the hard times in the late 30's and early 40's, to the point of so much credit was given, it became harder and harder for them to keep the store open.
Harmon and Helen would have three children, but heartache came when their second son ,Harmon Darrell, was only to live for 23 days, and was buried one week before Christmas 1940.
Harmon and Helen celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary two months before Harmon Isaac died in his sleep in 1982. Helen would join him in 1993, after losing her second son only 2 years before her death.
