Qigong & Daoist Training Center:
Qigong Certification Training Program
|
|
|
|
Qigong is one of the most rapidly growing alternative healthcare systems in the United States and around the world. And given the current situation of rising costs for medical care and health insurance, it seems that the increased attention to affordable and easily accessible self-healing systems, like qigong, will continue to gain in popularity. For this reason, and for the increased awareness of the effectiveness of Traditional Chinese Medicine’s healing tools, e.g., acupuncture, herbalism, acupressure and tuina, qigong and tai chi, that I have developed a certification training program in qigong. It is intended for those seeking personal healing and self-improvement, and for those who feel the time has come to pass on what they have received: To become Qigong Teachers, or Healers.
Hence …
Qigong & Daoist Training Center:
100 & 150 Hour Qigong Certification Training Program
Overview, Goal and Cost:
My belief is that the student of qigong needs an in-depth training not only in qigong, but in its philosophical and spiritual roots, namely, the ancient wisdom teachings of Daoism. In addition, the qigong student would benefit immensely from an understanding of TCM’s theory regarding organ systems, meridians, the Five Elements, the Three Treasures, and the Dantians. Lastly, the study of qigong is not complete without an introduction to the cultivation practices of Daoist meditation. The goal of this training is to provide the student of qigong with a comprehensive foundation in qigong for personal Qi cultivation and preparation for professional service as a qigong teacher. Upon completion of the program, the student will be awarded a Certificate of Completion for either 100 or 150 hours of qigong training.
Cost: $600. ($450 Distance Learners, includes a taichi ruler) (payable in full and non-refundable)

Edited Contract: Summary of the Program
This program is offered to students locally in Sebastopol, CA and as a Distance Learning program. The maximum length of time to complete the studies is one year. Beyond that, I have found students participation and completion of the program lacking in commitment. Therefore, if a student has not shown much interest in completing the program after a year, they will be moved into an inactive status, and an additional $100 will be required to become active again.
Student progress is monitored through frequent emails, personal contacts for local students (30 classes and 5 one hour private sessions), and completion of the training questions. In addition, students receive a set of DVDs, and copies of relevant articles There are two required texts to read, and a recommended list of books for more study. The program is not satisfactorily completed until all the above conditions have been fulfilled.
Agreement
__________________________________ (student) agree to fulfill all the requirements stated above. I understand that the cost for this training is $600 for local students, and $450 for distance learners (includes a taiji ruler), payable in full at start of program, and is non-refundable. I also understand that I am responsible for purchasing any required or suggested books or tools at my own expense.
Second Program Option: 150 Hour Program
After completing the requirements of the 100 hour program, a shorter 50 hour program may be attached that will focus on health assessments using a TCM medical model and prescription qigong exercises for specific health conditions. An intro to Chinese nutritional therapy is part of this section. A brief practicum is included in this program. An additional $150 is the cost for either the local student or the distance student.
At completion of studies, the student will receive a certificate of completion for either a 100 or 150 Hour course of qigong studies with Michael Rinaldini, director of Qigong & Daoist Training Center, Sebastopol, CA.
