MIDWEST FRIENDS OF ANIMALS,INC
 Welcome!

Midwest Friends of Animals, Inc. is a non-profit
animal welfare group operating in Southern
Indiana.

Our goal is to make a positive difference in the
lives of area animals, and to reduce the number of unwanted pets .  No animals leave our care without first being spayed or neutered and we make every effort to educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering.  Through these efforts we hope to instill compassion for all living creatures.

We are a volunteer only group with no paid
employees.  Our only source of financial support
comes from donations from caring people like
yourself.

Please look around our site to learn more about us,
the animals we help and maybe even find the
friend of a lifetime!

Thanks for visiting us!

Our Board of Directors and Members
understand the profound effect an animal can
have in your life.  We believe pets should be
embraced and accepted as part of the family
and not kept in cage or chained alone in the
backyard.

Because of our strong belief in the human
animal bond we work very hard to match pets
and potential pet parents.  The animal's needs
and the family's needs are considered very
carefully, so each pet can become an integral
part of its new family.  We may seem to ask a
lot of questions and may seem particular
about some things, but please understand we
have seen the worst of the worst and we
need to do all we can to make sure these
animals that we love and care for are placed
in the right forever home.

We do understand that circumstances can
change and sometimes a family will no longer
be able to care for a pet they have adopted
from us, so we ask that the pet be returned
to us so that we can try and find them a new
home.  When we take these animals into
homes we take them into our hearts as well,
and we look forward to keeping in contact
with their new families and seeing them
blossom in their new home :)
If you find one of our adoptables that you are interested in, you will then need to fill out an application.

Please copy and paste the adoption application to the left into an email & send to: Petfriendsgc@aol.com

Or if you would prefer, you can email us for an application.

Thank you for your adoption application. While we will consider every applicant, there is no guarantee expressed or implied that an adoption is approved based on a application.  MFOA, Inc. strives to place the 'right' pet with the 'right' family. There are times that we cannot provide that match.  All decisions are made soley by the Board of Directors, of Midwest Friends of Animals, Inc.
Our adoption fees range depending on the amount of care needed to get the individual animal healthy and ready for adoption. Please email us for the adoption fee of the animal that you are interested in.  (Questions about our adoption fees?  Click on the FAQ link).  Because we have no government or commercial funding of any type, the adoption fees also help pay for the veterinary costs of animals with special needs and general upkeep and day to day care of all the animals.  All adoption fee funds go directly to care for the animals - we have no paid employees of any kind.

We will consider out of state adoptions, but must ask for your patience in waiting for arrangements to be made for a home visit.  We require both veterinary and personal references.  Our main goal is to find the best
possible match for both the animal and the adoptive family.
