Midwest Friesians, is an approved local chapter of FHANA (Friesian Horse Association of North America). FHANA's parent association is the FPS (Friesian Paarden Stamboek), which is the dutch registry in Holland. Click on the links to visit the FHANA or FPS website to learn more.
We have members from Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Our goal in this chapter is to have a way for Friesian owners and friends to get together and to enjoy and promote the Friesian horse. We have been participating in Equine Affaire in Ohio since 1998, as well as many other local expos. Many of our members show in dressage, driving, huntseat, saddleseat, western and SCA medieval games. There are also breeders, both large and small farms, down to the individual owner, and to those who are looking to own or just have a love for the Friesian horse. There is a place for everyone.
Enjoy the site! My goal is to have a place for people to learn a bit about Friesian horses and to know what is going on locally, which is often hard to find. Also, to
allow members to contact each other, with the links available or for someone to be able to know who might be local for them to contact about Friesians. If there is anything you would like to see available on this site, let me know. Enjoy.
