Volkan Baga was born on July 16th 1977 in Würzburg, Germany. He attended Fachhochschule Würzburg, Germany, College of Communications-Design from 1997-2002. After receiving his Diploma in 2002, he began his career as a Freelance Artist and Illustrator. To further hone his already impressive skills, Volkan served a mentorship to Syd Mead (the famed artist, futurist, illustrator, and conceptual designer for such science fiction films as Blade Runner and Aliens) and as a studio assistant to designer/illustrators Knut & Christian Eckert and multi-award winning realist painter Donato Giancola.
His clients include companies such as Wizards of the Coast, Upper Deck, Tor Books, Ravensburger Spieleverlag, Amigo Spiele + Freizeit, Fishtank, Temple Games, Havemann and Fanzentrale.
