Belle's Nature
This continues a series of pictures showing pretty ladies in natural settings some distance from castles or palaces. It is the contrast that intrigues, not unlike a wilderness mountain setting overlooking a view of a large city. The clash of Man and the wilderness left behind, to which we all travel for peace and recreation, is but a fantasy in itself, because one cannot truly split from the other. A castle, like a city, is merely stone and steel over the ground, in the path of wild things, in the same air that wild things breathe and through which wild birds fly. We fool ourselves into creating a mental image of civilization apart from the wilderness, but let that wilderness die.......and it won't be long before we follow suit.
