They eventually wander to this place, where the water is clear and clean, much cleaner than found anywhere else. Drinking this water, at least for this species, has the benefit of cleansing their systems, ridding their digestive tracts of the undigestible parts of insects and plant material. Where they go to get rid of that stuff is a mystery, and I'm sure none of you want a picture of THAT.
