ASK MISS FRUGAL
I'm glad you dropped in!
Let me tell you a little about myself. For 4 years my son and I lived near Washington, D.C. on one income. In fact, we bought and lived in our own home on an income of less than $20,000 per year while saving 30 percent and giving 10 percent to charity.
I developed my frugal habits and skills the hard way, by climbing out of debts amassed by my ex-husband, a compulsive spender. Today, I am happily remarried and teach community education classes, write a Frugal Advice Column, and run several businesses, public speaking, and freelance writing.
My personal story was featured in the May 1996 issue Women's Day Article "America Cuts Back" By Annie Jones
I teach a class, called One Paycheck in a Two Paycheck World at Northern Va Community College .
A) Help you determine what is right for your situation by giving you the tools to make a decision.
B) Help you live on one paycheck, should you chose to stay home (or if you are a single parent).
Frugality is simply the way to achieve your families GOALS in the most inexpensive, efficiant way. Your goals are just that, YOURS. Sit down with your family and discuss what you goals are. Then let the Frugal/Simple life help you to reach those goals.
