Let us search this Five Volume Set entitled The Fighting Men of Texas for your Texas World War II Veteran. Your search inquiry is free of charge. If the veteran is listed with verifiable information, cost per copy of the listing is up to $5.50. If they are not listed, you will not occur any cost.

Valuable information about the veteran's military service may help you in your genealogy search.

These publications were published by the Historical Publishing Company, Dallas Texas in 1948. There are over 2,000 pages in these volumes.

The book has accounts of major battles of World War II, but most of the book is devoted to individual soldiers and sailors from all branches of the armed forces. All of the soldiers and sailors pictured were from Texas. Most are men but some are women.

Some of the soldiers have whole pages, others share a page with 4 or more other Texans. They have a brief description of where they are from, where they trained, where they served and any awards they won. At the end of the 5th Volume there is an alphabeticl list of the Texans listed in the book. So a quick search is possible for your convenience.
