My Favorite TV Star is Michael MahonenMichael Mahonen, plays Gus Pike ... a dirt covered orphan, who plays the fiddle, smokes a pipe and lives in a lighthouse. He has "... nothin' and no one..." in his life. When asked what it is like to be on his own. He replies " ... lonely...". He meets Felicity King and wants to change his life. When Hetty King offers to teach him to read and write, he accepts and then... his life does change!

AvonleaAvonlea ran on the Disney Channel (US) and CBC TV (Canada) from 1989 to 1996 ... and is now on CBC and Odyssey Channel(US) at the present time in re-runs. An Avonlea Christmas movie was made in 1998, called "Happy Christmas, Miss King".
