Where do we as adults fail this command of Jesus? By not teaching our children about Him,
hence, leaving them without any knowledge of our King. Without providing them knowledge
we are forbidding them a passage to the kingdom. We must be an aurora for their paths.

WHAT CAN WE DO?
You might be asking how you can help out in such a violent world today when some parents
just simply don't care. Perhaps you say, "is this not the parents job?" Let me ask you this::
Was it Jesus's JOB to suffer and die for us? For sure not, He did it because of His love for
us. We need to have love like Jesus had and has. Yes, parents need to raise their children
biblically. However, when they don't, and whether you have your own children or not, you
need to look deep into the heart of a neighborhood child or teen. Pray about it and let Christ
put a specific child/teen on your heart. Beware, it just might be the one who has a "glow in
the dark tongue ring,"( love ya Jeremy :) )" or perhaps the one you see outside your window
with all different colored hair that we as adults like to label as "freaks." They might look
freaky or act freaky to us, but either way, they do have a heart. With just a simple hello from
you, one can never tell what will mature from that. You then go from there. Christ will show
you how to deal with them, what to say, how to get involved. Envision for a moment, should
each family take on just one lonely unloved child/teen and teach them "the truth," showed
them what Christ's love really is, gosh, how you would be honouring Christ and you would
be paving the road to heaven for someone. Adopt, thru your heart, a lonely child/teen. We
need to use the common sense Christ has bestowed upon us. We need to share our Christian
life with them. For sure, we need to share our love.
Remember ::A child is a terrible thing to waste::

I looked at you & smiled the other day, I thought you'd see me but you didn't..
I said I LOVE YOU & waited for what you would say, I thought you'd hear me but you didn't...
I asked you to come outside & play ball with me, I thought you'd follow me but you didn't.
I drew a picture just for you to see I thought you'd save it but you didn't..
I made a fort for us back in the woods, I thought you'd camp with me but you didn't..
I found some worms 'n such for fishing if we could, I thought you'd want to go but you didn't..
I needed you just to talk to, my thoughts to share, I thought you'd want to but you didn't..
I told you about the game hopeing you'd be there, I thought you'd surely come but you didn't..
I asked you to share my youth with me, I thought you'd want to but you couldn't..
My country called me to war, you asked me to come home safely, But I Didn't....
For all you parents and adults who treat younguns like this.
Shame on you. THINK, before you have children.

THE REAL DELINQUENT
We read in the papers, we hear on the air, of stealing and killing, and
crime everywhere. We sigh and we say as we notice the trend, "This young
generation, where will it end!" But can we be sure it is their fault
alone? Maybe most of it is really our own.
Too much money to spend, too much idle time, too many movies of passion
and crime.
Too many books not fit to be read,
too much evil in what we hear said.
Too many children encouraged to roam
by too many "parents" who won't stay at home. Kids don't make the
movies, they don't write the books, they don't paint the gay pictures of
gangsters and crooks. They don't make the liquor, they don't run the
bars, they don't make the laws, nor make high speed cars. They don't
make the drugs that rattle the brain, it's all done by older folks
greedy for gain! Thus, in so many cases, it must be confessed, the label
"delinquent" fits older folks best!!

Our World As We Know And It Is Our Fault!!
Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem.And we said, an expert should know what he's talking about,
so we won't spank them anymore.Then someone said teachers and principals better not discipline our children when they misbehave. And the school administrators said no faculty member in this school better touch a student when they misbehave because we certainly don't want any bad publicity, and we surely don't want to be sued. And we accepted their reasoning. Then someone said, let's let our daughters have abortions if they want, and they won't even have to tell their parents. And we said, that's a grand idea. Then some wise school board member said, since boys will be boys and they're going to do it anyway, let's give our sons all the condoms they want, so they can have all the fun they desire, and we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school. And they further justified it by saying, that it would prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases as well. And we said, that's another great idea.Then some of our top elected officials said it doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs.And agreeing with them, we said it doesn't matter to me what anyone, including the President, does in private as long as I have a job and the economy is good. And then someone said let's print magazines with pictures of nude women and call it wholesome down-to-earth appreciation for the beauty of the female body. And we said we have no problem with that. And someone else took that appreciation a step further and published pictures of children and then stepped further still by making them available on the Internet. And we said they're entitled to their free speech under the Constitution of the United States. And the entertainment industry said, let's make TV shows and movies that promote profanity, violence, and illicit sex as ways to handle situations that occur in life, and let's record music that encourages the use of alcohol and drugs, rape, murder, settling things with violence, committing suicide to escape or avoid reality when things get tough, and satanic themes. And
we said it's just entertainment, it has no adverse effect, and nobody takes it seriously anyway, so go right ahead. Therefore, now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with the fact that... "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."
