Tracy Leininger was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was exposed to painting and drawing at a very young age. Her artistic techniques and self discovery began as far back as she can recall. Tracy grew up in an artistic environment with the involvement of the family design business through her childhood and teenage years. She graduated from the "School for Creative and Performing Arts" and then went on to collegiate studies at the "Cincinnati Art Academy".
Tracy moved to South Florida in 1987 to work as a reproduction artist for Wallcutt Studio. There she painted on canvas and began her mural work. She then found her real passion in the art world....Murals. Her past theater and set design experience set the pace for her mural work. In 1990 she went out on her own painting murals commercially and privately.
In, 1998, Tracy moved back to Cincinnati to help out with the family design business, "Covent Garden Florist" located in Mount Washington of twenty-six years. Tracy began floral design at the shop and painting murals for clients on the side. Before she knew it, she had a nice little painting business going again. "Covent Garden Florist" was then sold in 2001 and Tracy added fresh flower design to her menu of painting services at the request of her clients.
Today, Tracy works full time painting murals, furniture, canvas and overseeing/designing a select number of weekly fresh floral accounts. Her studio has blossomed to include the sale of premium fresh flowers, antiques and one of a kind artistic gifts, new and vintage. The "Purple Frog" represents one-on-one quality and personal service. The "Purple Frog" studio is located at 1213 State Route 50 in Milford. Exit Hillsborough/Milford/Rt.50 from 275 and head east. The property is painted funky yellow with a purple door on your right. Visits to the "Purple Frog" are by appointment at this time due to the high demand of Tracy and Peggy working on location. Some delivery of gifts and flowers is available.
