I have been playing pinball since the late 1940's when the cost was 5 cents to play. Believe me a nickel was hard to come by. I still enjoy playing, but probably not as much as my friends.
I started "collecting" when my wife Gertie and I opened a P-Nut and candy store in the St. Albans Mall. My collection started out with peanut items and soon branched out into Coca Cola, McDonalds, Colonel Sanders, E.T. and other rare and hard to find items, plus any coin operated machines.
The basement of our home is not large enough to hold all of the games I would like to have. I treasure most the family radio I listened to as I was growing up (before television).
I am a retired businessman that tries to stay young by keeping busy with the hobby of collecting. I like going to flea markets and Estate sales trying to find that treasure. I enjoy the camaraderie with the members of our WV pinball group and feel that I have made some friends for a lifetime.
