C.A.R.E. is dedicated to rescuing and re-homing dogs in the New York/New Jersey/Pennsylvania area. The majority of these dogs are rescued from shelters when their "time is up". Each dog is temperment tested, evaluated around different dog types, cats and children. Each dog will be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and altered before placement. All of the dogs can or will be tested for agility potential. An application must be completed and a home check will be necessary. While volunteers never make back what is truly spent (financially, emotionally or in time) on a dog, there is a mandatory adoption donation to help cover veterinary costs and to help save the next one that needs to come into rescue.
