MT Pockets the Clown
Well, here's one hearty WELCOME
 from M T Pockets the clown !
"WHo IS that clown?", you ask.  Well it's MT Pockets, (aka Donna WIlinski) who is married, with grown children, and  works as a nurse in Southwest Michigan.  She loves to Bring her Silly Brand of good, clean fun to Birthday parties, Festivals, Church and Company functions.  She loves parades and visiting nursing homes and has even performed at a wedding  Reception and a memorial service.  Having been active in various clown organizations for more than ten years, she loves best to share her clowning and wacky musical skills with other clowns. Her sensitive, gentle approach often prompts the following high praise ;  "My child was afraid of clowns until she met you!"
SO,High Fives!
high, low, and in the middle--
                                                                 from M.T. Pockets the Clown!
About those wonderful Birthday Celebrations..
M.T. begins her one hour birthday routine with stand-up comedy and hijinks to encourage the kids to start laughing and participating right away.  Beautiful, fun photos are possible as she assists her audience volunteers to actually cause colorful, magical illusions to baffle the rest. With an avererage birthday crowd of 15 children, she provides 30 minutes of show.
THEN! she offers 30 minutes of quick talking and balloon sculpting. She hustles and bustles to build a lovely creation for each child. She peppers her sculpting segment with lots of jokes,  affirmations and encouragement. A lighthearted , but effective balloon safety lesson is always included.  Even a song or two. All are involved as the BIRTHDAY CHILD gets a REALLY special Hat.
The big Finish:
If you wish, she gathers the children, their balloon hats, and creates teams to play hand bells  While the bells ring out, everybody sings a video/picture -perfect birthday wish to the honored person of the day!

He's got the whole world in His Hands
MT finds great joy, peace and strength in her faith.  And she has unique ways to share that with others, too. As a strolling, magical, musical, balloon twisting clown, she can teach simple bible lessons, walking around your church event, or she can design a full stage show to kick off  or climax your VBS, Kid crusade, or Sunday School program.
The JOY of the LORD IS MY STRENGTH!

The more we sing together, the Happier we'll be!
Music? From a clown?
MT plays her canjo and sings a variety of songs--
 according to your mood...
silly, sacred, snappy or sentimental?
MT knows that making music together is a beautiful way of uniting various groups: family members , nursing home residents, faith sharing groups, and groups of children into community.
MT loves to share her collection of instruments from all around the world with her audience.  You'd be tickled to see how quickly she can organize teams of handbell ringers to play accompaniment to Happy Birthday,
or other simple tunes.  It's great fun to watched the amazed looks as the children
realize that they really are playing good sounding music.  Once they get started, they want more and more.
For rhythm, she enlists the aide of a volunteer who quickly learns how many musical
noises MT's special washboard can produce.

WHAT'S a CANJO?
That's a whole 'nother story...
MT's alter ego, Olive Everbuddy and her friend Lilly croon with a pair of MT Pockets canjos.
#==O   #==O   All I know about canjos   O==#    O==#
( the key to my musical heart.)
A canjo looks like a banjo made with a stick and a can.  It has real musical instrument parts. It has three strings. And tuning gears. and FRETS.  Well mine do. It is a humble, upside-down cousin to the Appalachian Dulcimer. The amazing thing is, it doesn't look like it could make any real music, but it CAN. (Heh heh)
Guitar players say "It's just too easy."
Regular dulcimer players say, "The whole darn thing is upside down. But it's cute."

WHAT GOOD IS IT?
Well, a canjo gives you a great excuse to get out and make people, move, and laugh and even sing.
I like to share my props and have folks act out the songs. Imagine acting out the Itsy Bitsy Spider with a rubber spider, a round plastic sun, and a loaded squirt gun.
Turkey in the Straw with a rubber chicken, a plastic egg, etc.and  See that chicken dance!
Oh I had a little chicken and she wouldn't lay an egg.
So I poured hot water up and down her leg.
Well she wiggled and she giggled and she hollered and she begged .
Then that silly little chicken laid a hard boiled egg

I know a wonderful craftsman who builds these.I have written two instructional songbooks for canjo.  At Clown conferences, I have taught people how to clown and play with these versatile instruments.
