The Komen Race for the Cure® Series helps raise awareness of the importance of a positive breast health program – monthly breast self-examinations for all women beginning at age 20, clinical breast exams every three years beginning at age 20 and annually at age 40, and annual mammography beginning by age 40.
The Down & Dirty Description
Created as a fun introduction to adventure racing, the Raid The Rock Mud Run is for the adventuresome spirit. Participants will run or walk this 5K course laced with a 300 foot mud pit. The point is not to finish fast but finish with style. We had a great time in 2004 - If you don't believe me go out on the this website and look at the pictures. Imagine the sounds of hundreds of thousands of bells jingling as people from coast to coast run, walk and cheer in the Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis®. Across Little Rock, bells will be ringing as people like you tie jingle bells to their shoelaces, don festive holiday costumes and join friends and neighbors in support of the Arthritis Foundation’s mission to prevent, control and cure arthritis and related diseases. The Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis raises awareness of America’s leading cause of disability, while raising desperately needed funds to find a cure for arthritis.
The 2006 Houston Marathon invites you to be a part of Houston’s largest single-day sporting event. Combined with the Half Marathon and 5K, more than 18,000 participants, 200,000 spectators and 5,000 volunteers will take to the streets of Houston on Sunday, January 15, 2006. From race organization, to course entertainment, to state-of-the-art technology, the Houston Marathon is truly a Texas-sized experience… be part of it!
The Little Rock Marathon and companion races are a running and walking tour through the scenic streets of Arkansas' capital city. We offer a variety of events to our participants - we are a race for every pace. Come enjoy our lively brand of southern hospitality.
