Hello, I am Charlotte.
I am an artist, working in clay, metal, wood, glass and photography. I specialize in raku pottery. I have been practicing this ancient technique of firing for almost 20 years. The raku technique is a dramatic fast firing technique which yields beautiful metallic iridescent colors on the pottery. In the metal work, I work with copper, brass and sterling silver, making original one of a kind vessels to be worn as necklaces. I make crosses out of mesquite wood, when finished, the wood has a very deep beautiful color. When it comes to photography, I love to get outside and take photo's of nature. Flowers especially fascinate me. I like to photograph them from odd angles, and extreme close-ups.
