Whitepath Flutes

Welcome to the new cyber space home of Dan White, flutemaker.

Whitepath Flutes brings you affordable Native American style wood and bamboo flutes. Dan White, though not a registered Native American, is very proud of his Cherokee and Creek ancestry. He has been studying the art of flute making for about three years, with help from friends Billy Whitefox, and Raymond Redfeather, as well as othors who have provided information and inspiration. Dan has made a living as a professional gunsmith for over twenty-five years, but his true dream and goal now is to establish himself as a maker of high quality, Native American style Flutes.

Here is but a small sample of styles of flutes available.

Cedar is the wood of choice for the traditional Native American wood flute, (also know as a courting flute because of one of its uses in the courtship of a yong lady). In present times, many woods are used, including exotic hardwoods. These are very beautiful to display, as well as having their own unique sound qualities.

Please visit again. We are constantly changing and trying to upgrade this site as we learn. Also check e-bay and Yahoo auctions regularly for well below retail prices on selected flutes. (We just sold a $250.00 value drone for $100.00 to a lucky bidder). We will gladly e-mail you pictures of any particular style flute you may be interested in. Thanks for visiting.
