NAJS Activities
The North Arkansas Jazz Society concludes it's Summer Jazz Concert Series with Kansas City vocalist LISA HENRY. Lisa will perfrom with our house rhythm section: Claudai Burson-piano, Jim Greeson-bass and Ken Everts-drums.
The concert is Friday, August 22 at 8:00 PM at the University of Arkansas Fine Arts Concert Hall. Tickets are still available (see below)

The NAJS has been a community leader in presenting world class jazz performers in a variety of venues in Northwest Arkansas. Some of the talent presented over the past 7 years includes Kenny Barron, Ray Anderson, Kevin Mahogany, James Williams, Ray Drummond's Excursion Band, David Sanchez, Bobby Watson, and Danilo Perez.
Our 11 year affiliation with the Walton Arts Center has been a mutually beneficial partnership. The WAC Jazz Concert Series stands out as a showcase for internationally renowned jazz artists as well as regional stars.
2003 marks the seventh year for our JAZZ STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. This highly successful program provides tuition support for high school and college music students wishing to further their studies of jazz at the Jamey Abersold Summer Jazz Camp.This year five college and High school student were awarded scholarships of $500 each.
The NAJS is proud to support our regional jazz musicians with our SUMMER JAZZ CONCERT SERIES at the University of Arkansas Stella Boyle Smith Fine Arts Concert Hall in Fayetteville.
