- 231K - Happy Cat waves a paw and winks an eye at all onlookers. Makes a nice "welcome GIF" for your Home Page.

- 209K - Yes, Conrad can really fly. Every once in a while, it just happens - his ears flap, his tail spins like a helicopter rotor, and suddenly he is airborne!! |
- 422K - A fisherman's tale with a unique twist: The other day, I caught a <real> catfish. It's half cat and half fish, and it's swimming in my fish tank. So far, it hasn't eaten itself. Don't believe me?! I have GIF89 footage to prove it! Rendered and animated in Poser 4. |

Scenes of Earth-like worlds, sometimes a bit out of the ordinary
- 77K - A "time lapse" animation showing changes in natural light over a 24 hour period in Yosemite Park, California (Half Dome is at upper left). Landscape created with Vistapro 3 making heavy use of sunlight, cloud and star functions. |
- 99K - A mountain stream hurtles off a cliff creating turbulence in the water below. This waterfall was rendered with Vistapro 4, which allows texture-mapping of water. |
- 217K - Darkness floods a mountain valley in midafternoon as the moon occludes the sun in a solar eclipse. This is another Vistapro 4 rendering in an animated loop. For dramatic effect (and due to the limitations of Vistapro's "moon" function), the dark lunar disk is visible both before and after it overlaps the sun (unlike an actual eclipse). |

- 268K - A giant Jupiter-like planet rotates at dizzying speed as seen from a river on one of its moons. The waves move toward the viewer at a more deliberate pace. This scene was rendered with VistaPro 4. I used its animation feature to make a string of Targa files, converted certain ones to GIF's, and strung them together with GIF Construction Set. | |

- 141K - The city of Seattle was abuzz recently with reports of numerous UFO's at the Space Needle. Eyewitnesses reported that unknown craft were drawn to the restaurant on top as if it were one of their own. Restaurant customers apparently enjoyed the show and ordered another round of drinks. Exclaimed one, "What a bargain! For $35, you get a salmon dinner, a sunset in Seattle, ...AND an alien abduction!!" Two FBI agents have been assigned to the case, and rumor has it that someone's animated GIF89 camera recorded the whole event. |

Fractal Animations: Zooms and Other Mathematical Manipulations
- 182K - A series of Julia fractals blend together to create a "fractal mouth" opening and closing. These fractals were generated in Winfract using the BOF60 and Decomposition options and varying the real parameter from -1.2 to 0. Separate images were then connected using GIF Construction Set to yield a GIF animation. |
- 42K - A zoom through space towards a spherical projection of the "popcorn" variant of a Julia fractal. This fractal planet was assembled using Winfract. |
