The Nine Lazy B Ranch is located about nine miles southeast of Sheridan Wyoming. The ranch has a birds eye view of the scenic Big Horn Mountains and is only 30-40 minutes away from the Big Horn National Forest. Nellie Devor homesteaded the first 160 acres of what would become 9 Lazy B Ranch back in 1906. She was one of the first and few female homesteaders in Wyoming. Nellie acquired another 80 acres of land called the Jackson 80. Later on, a relative, Claude Devor, who had also homesteaded nearby in 1917, died and left the land to Nellie's three children. Joseph Pierce or rather, Bud as most called him, bought out his sisters and the additional land totaled up to 640 acres, or rather in homesteader speak, a "Section" of land. The ranch is currently owned by Bud's widow, Almeda Pierce. Most people call me Aly. I have seven children and we all enjoy riding and hunting on the ranch. The Ranch is not hard to find, well no harder to find than any other place in Wyoming. We may not be the fanciest place around but we are a great value for the price. At 9 Lazy B Ranch you will find a relaxed friendly atmosphere for the horse owner.
