WELCOME TO MY WORLD OF CHRISTMAS

I think we all feel things more during the Holidays..witness the outpouring of money, gifts, and help to charities at this time of year.Too bad it doesn't last 12 months instead of 3 weeks!!!
This is the time for memories...of old friends, loved ones who are no longer here with us, the days when the gifts were sometimes mostly practical because the cash was short. [oh those years of always new pajamas and knee socks]!!!!!
How about the 100's and 1000's of cookies for friends, neighbors, teachers and family members...the fruitcakes we sweated over and nobody ate....bowls of clove studded oranges made at the expense of a week's worth of VERY sore fingers...those were happy days.
Christmas Carols filled the air as school and church pageants played a large part in the festivities. And who can forget the Christmas catalogs with every other toy underlined and sometimes with a "PLESE SanTA," alongside.
