Constellation Charts

Circumpolar and individual

Two are for north and south circumpolar, that is, above the horizon for twenty four hours.Naturally they can not be seen during daylight. If you have a clear north, east and west horizon you should be able to see most of them except for the ones that get lost in the atmospheric haze near your northern horizon. Just the opposite in the southern hemisphere.
North Circumpolar Camelopardalis Cassiopeia Cepheus Draco Ursa Major Ursa Minor
Southern Circumpolar Apus Carina Chamaeleon Dorado Hydrus Mensa Octans Pavo Triangulum Australis Tucana Volans

You can save any or all of these charts by right clicking on them and select "Save Picture". Choose bmp, jpeg or gif under "save as file type". Saving as "Art" will clutter your folder with html files. You can then print them to place in a folder or binder for use outside. Take a seasonal chart along with the individual charts for that season. By doing this it will take no time at all to familiarize yourself with the entire viewable night sky. Good luck and happy hunting.

Dean Williams and Brian Mitchell have a free charting program available for download. It shows all eighty-eight constellations plus the moon. Moon features are shown along with star names. An added feature is a quiz. Nice for students or beginners. You can download it as a Zip File.

These charts created with Cartes du Ciel  free software program
