Ship's Log
In the past 12 months we have sailed SAGA, our Hans Christian 38 MK II, To Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz Is., Santa Rosa Is., San Miguel Is., and around Point Conceptionto Port San Luis, and Morro Bay About 1,900 nm, & countless good times,under the keel in the past year.
Its been some great trips. The kids have found ( and hand fed! ) Wild Boar on the Islands, we have hiked out to see the Elephant Seals during mating season on San Miguel, we have played with Otters off Morro Bay. We have sailed with Dolphins, Seals, Humpback Whales, and even Blue Whales! We have been through some big seas and some placid seas, and even one full gale ( Leslie say's" lets not do that one again"). Best of all we have been a family sharing the love and wonder of sailing

Crew Status
Leslie is getting really good at handling the helm, and the kids in most conditions. Erik is doing great in his sailing lessons at the club and in sail handling on the boat, he lets me know what tack we're on and our point of sail, and comments on sail shape. Paige just lives in the water now. If we're at anchor, she's swimming. Tor is looking for the chocolate that Leslie has hidden, and when he's not doing that he's being this years Cruise Chair for Ventura Yacht Club.
