Von & Wolfie
Von's cherished Alaskan Malamute, "Wolfie" passed away in his arms on
October 16th, 2005, shortly before her 13th birthday.
"She was my constant companion," says Von, "and my very special Best
Friend. Wolfie taught me about the best things in life and introduced me to
the wonderful world of running sled dogs."
She was powerful yet gentle, intuitive and dedicated. Wolfie charmed all
who ever met her with her sweet character and exquisite beauty. Following
her retirement from racing at age 8, she continued to enjoy the best life had
to offer and particularly loved her new role as "Team Mascot and
Ambassador" to Von's kennel. Her last months were filled with daily free
runs on beautiful summer mornings and happy nights camping with Von in
their Tipi.
Wolfie - you are forever in our hearts and are remembered each and every
day.
