Drawing dbz pt.2
!!How 2 draw dbz!!
We are taking everything step-by-step and after learning the sections of the head, I believe it's right to look at the head more in detail. I don't believe that I have to explain HOW to draw the facial features, but where to place them. I have one tip before doing this: Draw the outline of the face BEFORE drawing in the facial features. Let's begin...

First lets start with the eyes. Now they are easy to draw and all you have to do to learn to draw the eyes is to look at some. At the bottom of this page are some examples of eyes that I have drawn for you to see. Please draw each of those eyes on your paper so that you can get a feel for it. If you want more examples then go to my Multimedia page. There is a trick to drawing the eyes in the right place. You can draw them too close or too far apart and then they will look "abnormal". There is a little trick that I found out though. It might not work with all DBZ characters though, but it will with most. The image at right will show you what I mean. You need to draw the bottom outside corner of the eye (labeled #1) and align it directly on top of the the jaw line (labeled #2), refer to the previous lesson to know exactly WHERE to place the eyes horizontally.
Onto the noses. The noses don't really have a trick to them. Once again, placement is
the only tricky part here. Well, below are some of the noses that I decided to sketch
that I've seen in Dragonball. The nose that is circled is the nose that I find more
common among the DBZ fighters. Practice drawing all of the noses below and you
might also want to try going to my Multimedia section to view more exampales.

Last, but not least the mouths. The mouths are easy to draw, but don't really have a
place here. Reason being that a person's mouths changes a lot depending on the
character's feelings (so do the eyes, but the mouth is more noticable). Below I drew
some mouths that I thought would be appropriate to share with you because I see
them so often in Dragonball. Practice drawing them on your paper. They are quite
simple to draw. More will be discussed in a further lesson about characters
expressions, but not now. Once again, you might want to go to my Multimedia section to see more samples.
Well, this wasn't much of a lesson, but I decided that it was still appropriate to put it
in. I hope you enjoyed this lesson and keep on practicing so that you can perfect your
facial features. See you in the next lesson!
