Gnostics/Novus/Sylvia Browne

What Should I Believe?

Have you ever found yourself,at one time or another, asking that question instead of just blindly following what our religious training has taught us? Have the explanations given to you somehow just missed the mark, and 'don't ring true'? Perhaps that is because you are a gnostic! Gnostics are 'seekers after their own truth', and believe that true religion and spirituality should be blessed and loving and filled with all goodness and love. Once you touch this concept..you will never go backwards.

Keeping The Faith

It was a lecture given by Sylvia Browne that started me on a journey down a path that I 'KNEW' had been traveled before by me. I soon after began meeting other people, who like myself, believed that God was a loving and forgiving Father, and NOT to be feared. Years of dogma, never truly embraced, replaced finally by explanations that truly made sense and rang true in our hearts and minds. I have never been a 'religious' person, preferring the spiritual quests in life. Novus Spiritus was where I stopped searching and finally knew that I was home. Sylvia Browne founded this group, and you can read a wealth of information on Novus at her web site listed below. I totally believe in the concept of cell memory and that we carry over from past lives residuals that can cause us pain, birthmarks, phobias, etc.
The most significant part of my rediscovery was that the 'joke' I used to make growing up about God being a woman....wasn't a joke, and that indeed the concept of a duality was very real. Mother Azna, as she is called (others call her Mary, Blessed Virgin, Isis, etc) by us, is indeed present and very much a part of our lives. The old saying that 'We are created in God's image'....makes so much sense now. We are of a duality, as was known back in the period of the Essenes, and 'erased' for the benefit of a dogmatic venue of fear and control. Why is it that there is such a fear about letting the people make up our own minds? Do any of us like being told that if we don't do this or that, we are in danger of not being 'saved'? Is it easier to hate, or put fear and control into a situation than to uplift, praise and encourage someone in this life? I think not...and deep down inside, I suspect many of you do not either.

Open Invitation

I welcome all 'gnostics' who have felt that they have been 'missing' something in their journey through this life, and find that Sylvia Browne's philosophy 'rings a bell' for them ... to email me. We have study groups and chat discussions ongoing across the country, and you are welcome to be part of them, if only to listen, and to share your experiences as you seek your own truth. 'Take what you want and leave the rest behind' is the motto of Sylvia and Novus Spiritus.
I also welcome anyone who has a genuine interest or curiousity about what gnosticism is. Disbelief and skepticism is all right. Ignorance is not all right.
Bring your Light and join with others...and experience for Him the journey of your soul.
