Tammy's Own Poems

Poems of truth and fantasy

IN their Land

In their Land
there are no barges creeping peacefully
through the wickedness of the cold river.
The sun doesn't sit upon their shoulders,
bright, gleaming. Piercing. In their land,
they have no houses lumped together,
they live in colorless units made out of metals.
They have no birds singing
from the heavens.

My Favorite Poem

Hot Springs

I'm making a world for you, my love.
There is you and I.
Angels swoop from the crystal
sky.
They speak to us in sound-proof
voices.
The Devil burns in his own fire,
he has been destroyed.
The hot springs where we sulk
in our love making are moving
with us, they feel us as we feel
them on our luscious skins.
The forest glitters as
the rays of the sun peek at us
through lazy loose leaves
and high arms of the trees.

This is the world I would
give to you, only you, my love.
