So what exactly is the Tourguide? The Tourguide was created to be the ultimate guide to every location used in filming of both Ghostbusters movies. The idea came from all the numerous times Ghostheads would come onto the GB boards and ask where certain locations were so they could visit on their upcoming NY trips. This, unfortunately, led to many repetitive posts which the Tourguide was created to help stop.
With all the sites dedicated to Ghostbusters, there were very few that featured the biggest star of both movies: NYC. Sure, some sites give you the firehouse, the library, the Shandor Building…all the easy stuff. The Tourguide decided to go above and beyond and find the not-so-easy locations from the movies in order to give you the TRUE Ghostbusters experience. All the locations seen on film from either movie will be on this site. It’s our mission and our promise to you, the Ghosthead community or generally curious folks, and a goal we continue to work towards.
