Arlaine Rockey graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Miami School of Law. During her legal career, she has represented children in foster care and battered women, in Florida and North Carolina, and helped lead the successful reform coalition to eliminate the North Carolina marital rape exemption in 1993.
