The Eagle Hook and Ladder Fire Company was Founded in 1892 and since that time the membership has included many prominent citizens of Ocean Grove. The Eagle Company has been cited for performance at a number of fires. As the only ladder company in a community in which homes and businesses are often inches apart, we play an indispensible role in ensuring the safety of life and property in Ocean Grove.

The Company possesses two pieces of apparatus, Ladder 601 and Tower 602.
Ladder 601 is a 1964 Piersh Aeirial and has a 100 ft aerial ladder and about 200 ft of ground ladders. A new engine was installed in 1995. Although this truck is over 30 yrs old, it is perfectly suited for the narrow streets of Ocean Grove. The rear of the truck can be turned independently, via a driver situated behind the ladder. This apparatus has a storied history of rescues and saves of adjacent structures during major fires.
Ladder 602 is a 1989 Sutphen 100 foot tower ladder. This truck is independently functional with its own pump, and additional ground ladders. Rescues can be performed with ease because victims do not have to be carried down a ladder, but can be easily lowered to the ground in the bucket.
