Alan Kimber
Alan Kimber- The man behind the machine
The man behind the Rallymaster was Alan Kimber, who worked for the
Concessionares.  Below is a period photo of Alan and his "prototype" machine
competing in the International Six Days Trial in 1961.  The "prototype" Rallymaster
was based on a TV2, rather than a Li150, as you can see by the dampers on the fork.
It also lacked some of the extras which were found on the works machines.
Kimber piloting a modified TV/D during the Scottish Six Days Trial.  One of these modified machines was in the LPS museum in Devon.
Here is Kimber, at the start of the 1959 Isle of Man Rally.  That's UK importer James Agg wishing him luck.  About to thrash that beautiful TV2!
Mr. Kimber recently passed away in 2000.
