On30 Littlebose Boxcab -- Boulder Valley Models
On30 -- Boulder Valley Models -- On30
Proudly presents ...
The Little-Bose Boxcab
 Chunky, funky, down & dirty!
Get down to business on your On30 railroad with this rugged little locomotive.

Use one boxcab for yard switching, quarry operations or any sort of industrial  service ... or pair two together to make a powerful road locomotive.  Then split the pair apart to perform complex switching tasks in the tightest spaces!

Inspired by talented On30 modelers Allen Littlefield and Sam Barbose, the "Little-Bose" Boxcab is an outstanding little workhorse for large or small layouts.  Build yours neat and clean or "down-n-dirty" as shown here!
LOADED with DETAILS!  Kit includes full body assembly, side sills, interior bulkhead with seats, PLUS headlight, bell, horn, muffler, steps, grab-irons and see-thru mesh panels!

Crusty, rusty, blistered and peeling paint techniques ...
Of course, you CAN build your Little-Bose boxcab neat-n-clean ... but some of us just can't resist that worn out look.  Click the photo at right for a step-by-step guide to achieving a weathered look using simple techniques.
Very special thanks to Allen Littlefield and Sam Barbose!
Soon after the release of our original #351 Boxcab kit, Sam Barbose began chopping away to create his "notorious" little Jake & Elwood boxcabs using power trucks from the old-style Bachmann 44-ton locos.  Jake & Elwood Boxcab were featured in the NG&SL Gazette and they've generated quite a bit of interest since first appearing in our BVM Gallery ...

Then, one day, the kind folks at Bachmann introduced their nifty little side-rod Davenport locomotive ... and Allen Littlefield had a new inspiration.  He took parts from the same kit and cut them up a little differently to create the red locomotive shown below ...
With Allen's permission, we've reproduced his design in kit form -- so now you can get a little boxcab with great operation and no kitbashing required.  (But you're allowed to kitbash as much as you like!)

Paint your Little-Bose boxcab yellow, red, gray or any color you like ... add a little "Jake and Elwood" flavoring if desired and have fun!
