Hello and Welcome to my page about my experience with TEAM-
-in-Training.  This is an operation working for the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society of America.  I have joined in an effort to raise
money for a very worthy organization.  In my effort, I will be both
raising funds and walking a 26.2 mile marathon in honor of a special
TEAMmate.  This page will be to chronicle both of those efforts, as
well as providing links for more information on this organization
and the disease, as well as the lives touched by this devastating
illness.  My personal goal started as an effort to improve myself,
and if in the process of doing that I can make a difference in the
world, and in the lives of the people and their families afflicted by
this terrible tragedy then I will be honored!

Please take this dove and place it on your site!

This is to show support for cancer victims and their                       families!

The week of May 8, 2000 marks the beginning of my training for
the big marathon.  Our first group walk will be this weekend,
along with our first clinic with Coach Kathy--Wish me Luck!                                        Look back on this page for updates on the progress I am making on                                        this goal!

Well the first group walk went well.
I made it through four miles for the first time YEAH!

The next group walk will be on June 3rd
and I am really looking forward to it!
Especially the clinic on stretching!

Hi there! Well I finished the walk on the 3rd with a
great time. I shaved 20 minutes off of the previous group walk!
YEAH for me! I am feeling good and walking about an average
of 2 miles per day currently. Next week I will be increasing that
to 3 miles average I believe. So the training part of is going great!

Now I just need to start bringing in the fundraising part of
this. I sure want to thank those of you who have already
found it in your heart to give a little! Remember to check
the donations page, as there are lots of ways you can give.
Some of them won’t cost you a penny!  Remember together
we can work miracles!

Hi There friends and supporters.  Well The next group walk
went well and I met a couple of really nice ladies also walking
the cause to walk with so that is always nice.  The pace is picking up
now and I am starting to walk about 4 miles per day.  I encourage
all my supporters to go to the donations page and sign up for
Consumer Saints online.  This is a free program that will donate
to the cause just for people signing up.  and Thanks for all your help!

On June 28th we are having a dinner with our honor TEAMmate-
Monica and I'll let ya'll know how she is doing!

The dinner was great.  A lot of cheering for each other and sharing
ideas for fundraisers.  Monica, unfortunately, was unable to attend
the dinner.  We all sure missed her and continue to hope she is doing
well.

Well July 8, 2000 and I just completed my first 8-miler.  I have been
doing 4 miles a day and I did 6 last weekend.  I am feeling really
good and my times are not too bad either.  I cannot say enough
thanks to all the people who have helped out so far--and if you have
not yet come on and join our TEAM!!  You can help make a
 difference, you really can.
