PlantBedThumbs
In 2005, the Community Gardens installed raised planting beds for gardeners confined to wheelchairs or those having difficulty working a traditional garden. Each of the the three beds have planting space of 4ft. by 8ft. by 6 in. deep. The beds are made with treated wood and are entirely lined with composite wood that was very generously donated by a local business, Saginaw Lumber Co., Inc. with offices located in the Northeastern Industrial Park, P.O. Box 74, Guilderland Center, New York 12085.
